Nursery
A Gentle Beginning to a Lifelong Love of Learning
Our Nursery Classroom is a calm, nurturing space where your baby’s earliest experiences are filled with warmth, care, and meaningful interactions. At Moorefield Park Childcare Centre, we understand that the first year of life lays the foundation for all future development. That’s why we prioritise secure relationships, responsive care, and a personalised approach to each infant’s needs.
Caring, Bonding, and Individualised Attention
Our passionate Educators take the time to get to know your baby, responding to their cues, comforting them when needed, and celebrating every small milestone. We work closely with families to mirror home routines, creating a seamless and familiar experience. From individualised sleep patterns in our tranquil cot room, to customised feeding plans and care routines, your baby is in safe, loving hands.
Play-Based Exploration and Development
Each day is filled with carefully planned, play-based learning experiences that are tailored to your child’s stage of development. Whether it’s tummy time, sensory exploration, or engaging in music and movement, our open-ended experiences support your baby’s cognitive, motor, and social-emotional growth in a safe and stimulating environment.
Language-Rich and Emotionally Supportive
Even in infancy, language matters. Our Educators constantly talk, sing, and read to your baby, building a rich language environment and supporting early communication skills. We also pay close attention to emotional well-being, creating a space where babies feel seen, heard, and valued.
Strong Relationships, Strong Foundations
Connection is at the heart of everything we do. We form deep, trusting relationships with each child and their family, fostering a sense of belonging and security. These strong bonds support confident exploration, social development, and a smooth transition into toddlerhood.
At Moorefield Park Childcare Centre, your baby’s earliest experiences are cherished, supported, and celebrated. We are honoured to be part of your family’s journey—helping your little one grow with confidence, curiosity, and care.
Tiny Tots
Exploring the World with Wonder and Confidence
Our Tiny Tots Classroom is a vibrant and engaging space designed to support the growing independence, curiosity, and physical development of our youngest explorers. At this stage of their early learning journey, children are becoming more active, social, and adventurous, eager to discover the world around them.
Big Steps for Little Bodies
With boundless energy and growing confidence, our Tiny Tots are encouraged to explore and build their gross motor skills through both indoor and outdoor adventures. Climbing, balancing, running, jumping, and pushing, all part of the daily rhythm. Our purposefully designed outdoor environment provides a safe and stimulating space where children can strengthen their coordination, spatial awareness, and physical confidence through play and movement.
Structured Routines for Growing Minds
As children begin to transition away from individual routines, our classroom introduces gentle, consistent daily rhythms that foster a sense of security and belonging. Group mealtimes, shared learning experiences, and predictable transitions support the development of self-regulation and build a strong foundation for collaboration and independence.
A Calm Place to Rest and Recharge
Our dedicated sleep area features mini, low-to-the-ground beds, allowing children to independently rest in a calm and soothing environment. Rest time is carefully managed to suit developmental needs and ensures children have the energy to continue exploring and learning throughout their day.
Play-Based Learning and Discovery
Each day in the Tiny Tots Classroom is filled with purposeful, play-based experiences that nurture creativity, language, and problem-solving. Open-ended activities encourage exploration, spark imagination, and support emotional and cognitive growth. Educators guide learning through social interaction, meaningful engagement, and rich conversations that build language and early thinking skills.
Connection and Belonging
Strong relationships remain at the heart of our approach. Children are supported by consistent Educators who understand their individual needs and personalities. We create an environment where every child feels valued, safe, and empowered to express themselves as they learn and grow.
At Moorefield Park Childcare Centre, our Tiny Tots are supported to take confident steps towards independence while discovering the joy of learning through movement, play, and connection. Each day is a new opportunity to grow, explore, and thrive.
Toddler
Growing Together with Confidence, Connection and Care
Our Toddler Classoom is a vibrant and nurturing environment where children’s growing sense of identity, independence, and emotional awareness is supported every step of the way. This stage of early childhood is filled with big emotions, rapid development, and a blossoming desire to connect with peers and Educators, and we’re here to guide and support children through it all.
Supporting Social and Emotional Growth
As children begin to build friendships and express themselves in new ways, our Educators are intentional in creating a caring space where every child feels heard, respected, and understood. We model empathy, support emotional regulation, and gently guide children as they learn to navigate social interactions, develop resilience, and understand their own feelings.
Belonging Through Relationships
Strong, respectful relationships are at the core of our Toddler Classroom. Educators form trusting bonds with each child, creating a secure base from which they can confidently explore their environment and engage with others. We celebrate each child’s individuality while fostering a strong sense of belonging within the group.
Learning Through Play and Interaction
Our curriculum is centred around purposeful, play-based experiences that support all areas of development. Children explore ideas, solve problems, express creativity, and build language and social skills through open-ended play. Group times, shared projects, and small group learning experiences help strengthen peer relationships and promote cooperative learning. The children have the opportunity to learn through play in our large natural outdoor play spaces that spark their imagination!
Confidence Through Routine and Independence
Predictable daily routines offer a sense of stability and help Toddlers feel secure in their environment. As they gain confidence in managing transitions, following instructions, and caring for themselves, we encourage growing independence through small responsibilities and self-help opportunities.
A Place to Recharge
Our sleep area is calm, quiet, and inviting, providing children with a peaceful space to rest and reset during their busy day. With low beds and gentle transitions, we ensure rest time is a positive and restorative part of their routine. Quiet activities are provided for our little learners who are transitioning to no sleep during the day.
At Moorefield Park Childcare Centre, our Toddler Classroom is a place where children grow not just in knowledge and skills, but in confidence, connection, and compassion. Here, they begin to understand themselves, relate to others, and build the social and emotional foundations for lifelong wellbeing.
Junior Kindy
Inspiring Independence, Imagination and a Love of Learning
Our Junior Kindy Classroom is a dynamic and nurturing environment where children are supported to grow in confidence, deepen their curiosity, and begin engaging more meaningfully with the world around them. At this stage, we focus on building strong social connections, supporting emotional well-being, and encouraging independence as children develop a stronger sense of self.
Guided by a Qualified Early Childhood Teacher
As part of the Victorian Government’s 3-Year-Old Kindergarten initiative, our program is led by a fully qualified Early Childhood Teacher who delivers a rich, play-based curriculum. This program is designed to foster creativity, language development, early literacy and numeracy skills, and social confidence, laying the foundations for lifelong learning.
A Balanced Day of Learning and Rest
In Junior Kindy, children’s energy and engagement are growing—but so is their need for quiet time and rest. Recognising that some children may be transitioning away from regular naps, we provide a mixed environment where both rest and relaxation are honoured. A peaceful sleep area is available for those who need it, while others are offered quiet, calming activities to give their busy bodies a chance to recharge.
Fostering Social Connections and Emotional Growth
Children at this stage are learning how to work alongside others, express ideas, and develop empathy. Our Educators support this by nurturing respectful interactions, guiding social problem-solving, and creating opportunities for group collaboration. We value emotional development as highly as cognitive growth, helping children recognise, name, and manage their emotions in a supportive space.
Learning Through Purposeful Play
Our Junior Kindy curriculum is filled with open-ended, play-based experiences that encourage imagination, inquiry, and discovery. Children explore the world through hands-on experiences—constructing, investigating, creating, and storytelling—guided by intentional teaching that extends their thinking and builds foundational skills across all developmental areas.
Growing Capable and Confident Learners
We encourage children to take increasing ownership of their learning and daily routines. From making choices about their activities to taking care of their belongings and contributing to the classroom community, children are empowered to be capable, confident, and active participants in their own development.
At Moorefield Park Childcare Centre, our Junior Kindy program provides the ideal balance of guidance, exploration, and support. With a strong focus on social and emotional wellbeing, and enriched by a government-recognised Kindergarten Program, children are given every opportunity to thrive, connect, and grow into confident lifelong learners.
Kindergarten
Confident, Capable and Ready for the Next Chapter
Our Kindergarten Classroom is a vibrant and enriching environment designed to support children as they take their final steps in early childhood education and prepare for a smooth, confident transition into formal schooling. With a strong focus on school readiness and holistic development, we foster independence, resilience, and a genuine love of learning.
Funded Kindergarten Program with a Qualified Early Childhood Teacher
We proudly offer a Victorian Government Funded Kindergarten Program, delivered by a fully qualified Early Childhood Teacher. Guided by the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF), our program supports each child’s learning, identity, wellbeing, and sense of community.
Free Kinder for Families
As part of the Victorian Free Kinder initiative, families can access 15 hours of free kindergarten per week at our centre. This initiative ensures that every child has the opportunity to attend a quality kindergarten program, helping to remove financial barriers and giving all children a strong start in their learning journey.
Preparing for School—Naturally and Nurturingly
Our school readiness program is thoughtfully embedded into daily learning, helping children develop the confidence and capability they need to thrive in a school environment. Children are supported to follow group routines, participate in structured and flexible learning experiences, manage transitions, and take increasing responsibility for their belongings and actions.
Social and Emotional Growth at the Core
Emotional well-being and social development are central to our program. Educators help children build empathy, resilience, and communication skills as they navigate friendships, resolve conflicts, and express their feelings in healthy ways. These skills lay a powerful foundation for school and for life.
Explorative Learning Rooted in Play
Our play-based approach invites children to explore a wide range of experiences, including literacy, numeracy, science, creative arts, and nature-based discovery. Educators scaffold learning with intention, curiosity, and care, extending children’s thinking and promoting a deep, joyful engagement with the world around them.
Energy and Movement in Our Natural Playground
Our large outdoor natural playground is a vital part of the Kindergarten experience. With space to run, climb, dig, explore, and invent. Children are free to release energy, build physical strength, and engage in rich, imaginative outdoor play. The playground promotes gross motor development, resilience, and collaboration—all in a beautiful, nature-inspired setting.
Building Independence and Agency
We empower children to take pride in their independence—whether it’s managing their belongings, helping others, or making choices about their learning. Through gentle guidance and encouragement, children grow into capable, confident learners, ready to take on new challenges with a sense of ownership and enthusiasm.
At Moorefield Park Childcare Centre, our Kindergarten program, supported by the Victorian Free Kinder initiative, provides a strong and balanced foundation for school and beyond. With a focus on emotional well-being, independence, and joyful learning in both indoor and outdoor spaces, we guide children to step into the next chapter of their lives with confidence, connection, and curiosity.
